Dr. Jasvinder Kaur-Pabla is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She graduated from the prestigious University of Toronto where she received a Bachelor of Science in two majors: Biology & Psychology.  She attained her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where she graduated in the top 3 of her class and attained clinical honors. She has been in practicing optometry for over 20 years. Dr. Kaur is one of the fewer than 5% of optometrists nationwide to have completed a hospital-based residency in ocular disease. Dr. Kaur completed her residency certification at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates where she worked alongside world-renowned glaucoma specialist, Alan Robin and retina specialist Eric Suan. Dr. Kaur has received extensive training in various specialties including: dry eye disease & meibomium gland dysfuntion, ocular surface disease, glaucoma, retina, cornea, neurology, pediatric eye care, and refractive surgery, as well as preoperative and postoperative surgical care. Dr. Kaur has also participated in clinical trials for various ocular medications for FDA approval. Dr. Kaur has also presented research at the American Academy of Optometry meetings. In 2008, Dr. Kaur also attained her Fellowship certification with the American Academy of Optometry. Less than 10% of optometric physicians are currently fellows in this prestigious organization.

Dr. Kaur enjoys participating in eye care missions to provide services to patients in parts of the world where eye care is inaccessible and scarce. In her spare time, she likes to travel, sing, play various traditional Indian musical instruments, and paint.
